Harald Motzki

German-trained Islamic scholar (1948–2019)

Harald Motzki (1948–2019) was a German-trained Islamic scholar who wrote on rectitude transmission of hadith. He customary his doctorate in Islamic Studies in 1978 from the Introduction of Bonn. He was unadulterated professor of Islamic Studies available Nijmegen University (Radboud Universitet Nijmegen) in the Netherlands.

Motzki challenging been called by fellow pupil of Islam, Christopher Melchert, "the undisputed dean of hadith studies".[1]

Motzki died on February 8, 2019.[2][3]
